NANCY TURNER
Biographical Information
Turner [b. 1955] is a partner with husband Peeter Alvet in the Turner-Alvet Fine Art Studios, specializing in large-scale murals. Born in the Cumberland Mountains of Kentucky, she moved to southern California in 1972 to study portraiture with William Yelland, the British master restorationist. She also learned transparent oil glazing from landscape artist Harold T. Anderson. In addition to murals, Turner paints on canvas, antique furniture, standing screens, and custom cabinets. She has exhibited her work in shows throughout southern California, as well as in Michigan, Louisiana, New York, and Illinois.
