TERRY SCHOONHOVEN


Biographical Information

Originally from Illinois, Schoonhoven (born 1945) received a B.S. from the University of Wisconsin (1967), then did two years of graduate work and taught lithography at the University of California, Los Angeles. In 1969 he and Victor Henderson co-founded the Los Angeles Fine Arts Squad in order to paint large outdoor murals. Schoonhoven has been working on his own since the squad disbanded in 1974. In addition to his local projects, he has completed murals in Irvine, Minneapolis, San Antonio, and St. Louis.
