ALBERT HENRY KING


Biographical Information

King (born 1900) was born in Kent, England, immigrating to the United States in about 1910. He studied at the Los Angeles Art Students League. A participant in the PWAP, he was the supervisor of ceramics for the WPA/FAP in southern California from 1936 to 1939. He later taught at the University of California, Los Angeles and the University of Southern California and helped found the Art Center College of Design, now located in Pasadena. He also did a mural in the Ventura Community Church.
