FRANK TENNEY JOHNSON
Biographical Information
Well-known for his landscapes and portraits of the Western frontier, Johnson (1874-1939) studied at the Art Students League and the New York School of Art in New York City. In 1937, after achieving success and acclaim as a painter, he was elected to full membership in the National Academy of Design.
