ROBERTO GIL DE MONTES
Biographical Information
Gil De Montes (born 1950) is a painter and a photographer. Born in Guadalajara, Mexico, he moved to Los Angeles at age five then later studied at Otis/Parsons School of Art & Design. Among many other solo and group exhibitions, Gil de Montes was included in the Hispanic Art in the U.S.: Thirty Contemporary Painters and Sculptors, which toured the country in the 1980s. Another of his public art commissions is an outdoor collaboration he did at the Gateway Transit Center with Peter Shire and Elsa Flores.
