ALFREDO DIAZ FLORES


Biographical Information

Born near San Antonio, Texas, Flores grew up during the Great Depression of the 1930s. His father was a migrant worker and the family followed the crops from place to place. Semi-retired now, Flores has been a retail grocery clerk most of his working life, and an active member of Local 770 since 1949. Primarily self-taught as an artist, he paints in oils, watercolors, acrylics, gouache, charcoal, and pencil. He also has done murals in San Jose, California, and San Antonio, Texas.
