BETTY DORE


Biographical Information

A peripatetic artist and teacher, Dore attended schools in Kentucky, Chicago, Georgia, and California, and spent time traveling and studying in Europe, India, Mexico, and Guatemala. She holds art degrees from Pasadena City College (A.A. 1973) and California State University, Los Angeles (B.A. and M.A. 1976). Dore's work has been exhibited in numerous solo and group shows, primarily in southern California, but also in northern California, Kentucky, and Hong Kong. In summer 1988, she participated in a class taught by Kent Twitchell in which students painted portable murals for a construction fence at Pasadena's Huntington Memorial Hospital.
