Biographical Information
Raised in Los Angeles, Cronk studied art at the University of Florida (B.F.A. 1969), and at the University of New Mexico (M.F.A.1972) He spent about six years in Hawaii, where he did his first murals. After residing in Florida and then the San Francisco Bay area, he returned to Los Angeles in 1988. He moved to Zurich, Switzerland, in early 1991, and began to concentrate on doing works on canvas in his studio there. He visits Venice, California, periodically to check on his murals, doing any necessary repair work.
