DAN COLLINS
Biographical Information
A native Angeleno, Collins (1954-1990) was a versatile artist who did 3-D constructions, etchings, portraits, and paintings. He attended Parsons School of Design in New York, Santa Monica College (A.A. 1979), Art Center College of Design (B.F.A. 1983), and Otis Art Institute. He also studied in Lucca, Italy. During the mid-1980s Collin operated the Goski Gallery in Hollywood. In 1987 his work was included in an AIDS-themed group show at the Municipal Art Gallery.
