JILL ANSELL
Biographical Information
Since 1978 Ansell has been working on public mural projects, many of which include young people in the process. Her first project was four historical murals in Nevada County in northern California. Since 1990 the Education Department of the Music Center has been sending her to schools all over Los Angeles to paint murals with students. Ansell studied at the College of Marin in Kentfield, California, and at the School for Visual Arts in New York City. In 1994 she earned an MFA from Vermont College.
