Description

Vinland (wine Land") refers to America, called that because early explorers found grapes growing wild. There is another WPA mural, a casein tempera asbestos fire curtain titled ENTRANCE OF SHE GODS INTO VALHALIA also designed by Macdonald Wright in 1936. On it are images of legendary Viking gods and goddesses. Elsewhere on campus is a petrochrome scene of fish on the back of a curved wood bench behind the cafeteria. Approximately 36' x 3'.
