Description
The mural uses the life cycle of the butterfly as a metaphor for the role of education in a child's life.

"Born in the world a larva child.
Into the chrysalis of education I go.
Shrouded with knowledge I spread my wings
And soar like a butterfly" (poem by Melinda Lewis)
