Cox and four youth painted this mural without a pre-drawn design. Their inspiration was all around them--from the houses across the street, to the tires discarded along the nearby train tracks, to the helicopter's that frequently buzzed overhead. Each color was applied in layers, somewhat like animation cels are drawn.
