Description

Tall buildings, spaceships, planets, and stars. One of four portable panels created at four different schools, which were then exchanged to expose children to diverse perspectives and environments. The other three are now in the auditorium at Elysian Heights Elementary School in Echo Park.
There are at least four other murals on campus. Two (c.1983 and 1987) face the lunch area/playground. Another, showing hands drawing a landscape a la M.C. Escher, is up a hill outside Room #21. A fourth, done in 1992 outside Room #14 by students, has for its theme STAY IN SCHOOL.
