Description
Many murals fill the cathedral's interior. A large image of Christ, 30 feet across, occupies the entire inner shell of the dome. Surrounding him are portraits of the major prophets. Among the other murals are the TRILOGY OF THE CRUCIFICATION, three panels along the north wall; TRILOGY OF THE RESURRECTION, three panels on the south transept wall; SAINT DEMETRIOS on the west wall; and SAINT GEORGE fighting the dragon on the other side of the west wall.
