Description

The mural came out of the artist's desire to acknowledge East Coast solidarity with the workers of L.A. in the wake of the 1992 post-Rodney King verdict violence. The image is of a muscled worker triumphantly emerging from a computer screen to stop a beating, while crushing a Klan opponent with her foot. There is also a weasel-like judge with a maggot crawling out of his judicial robe. Two verses of the radical labor song, Solidarity Forever, are painted on factory smokestacks.
