Description

"Each tile represents either a high tide or a low tide over a 9-month period, arranged chronologically.," explains the artist. "Each tile was fired 4-7 times in order to reproduce the transparent overlays of the original watercolors which I did preliminary to producing the mural....the reason I chose to do the individual daily portraits of the water surface at Marine Stadium was to assure the government that I had indeed been there in my studio painting on all those days."
