Description

The legacy of Rancho Dominguez granted to JosÇ Dominguez in 1782, beginning with the people and flora of pre-Spanish California. Among the significant historical episodes depicted are a Spanish ship approaching Rattle Snake Island (now San Pedro), the arrival of the railroad, the country's first Air Show at Dominguez Hill in 1910, the Great Flood of 1914, and the oil boom during the 1920s. The second panel is of the modern Long Beach-Carson area.
