Description

The first two panels are of the early Spanish rancho era (c.1780 and c.1860). Panel 3 shows the Weston Ranch, which is now a residential neighborhood in Torrance called Walteria. Panel 4 is of the building of the city's first factory, originally called Union Tool Company (now Armco). Panel 5 depicts a view toward the Pacific Electric Railway Station during the 1920s. The last panel is called THE PRESENT AND THE FUTURE and shows the continuing growth of the community. The artist was an art teacher at local West High School.
