Description
This art deco design was based on an image in a 1931 issue of the French magazine, L'Ilustration. Another mural, a trompe l'oeil looking very much like tile, is behind the concession stand. It was done by Wim Griffith of Long Beach. The theater was originally built in 1926, and was recently restored under Joe Musil's direction.
