Description
Originally David Alfaro Siqueiros was commissioned by the officers of Plaza de la Raza to paint a mural, but he died before doing it. Flores was selected as his replacement. The mural is a tribute to the contributions made by Chicano working people197>campesinos, garment workers, welders, and retail clerks. Also present are portraits of some of the local leaders who have contributed to the community.
