Description
In 1846 an ill-fated group of midwesterners headed West to California. They were organized by George and Jacob Donner. Only 45 of the original 79 survived after spending the winter stranded on one of the Sierra's coldest and windiest crests (now called Donner Pass). This curtain originally hung in the Carthay Circle Theater in West Los Angeles. That theater was torn down because it wasn't earthquake safe.
